Warum dieser Report mit Kommentar?

Wir haben über die Presse davon erfahren, dass es in Niedersachsen und Nordrhein-Westfalen wieder zu Todesschüssen durch Polizist*innen gekommen ist. Weil es bisher nur eine Berichterstattung gibt, die um eine Neutralität bemüht ist, die die Polizei als glaubhafte Quelle darstellt, halten wir es für wichtig in unseren Medien der Gegeninformation zusammenzufassen, was bisher leider nur durch kommerzielle Medien bekannt wurde. Der Deutungshoheit, die die Polizei darin hat, muss etwas entgegengesetz werden, da die Systematik der Morde für uns offensichtlich ist. Zudem finden wir es unerträglich, dass immer wieder Menschen von der Polizei hingerichtet werden und wir uns alleine fühlen, wenn wir von solchen Dingen erfahren und ohnmächtig, wenn wir reagieren wollen.

Die offene Versammlung der Preis ist heiss befasst sich mit der kapitalistischen Ausbeutung und den dadurch entstehenden existenziellen Problemen. Für uns ist offensichtlich, dass prekäre und oft auch psychische Ausnahmesituationen häufig durch die kapitalistischen Verhältnisse verursacht werden. Wer gedemütigt, sanktioniert und an einem guten Leben gehindert wird, widersetzt sich ganz natürlich irgendwann der Obrigkeit. Dies sind die Situationen in denen der Staat mit äußerster Brutalität bis hin zum Mord reagiert.

Auch in den folgend beschriebenen zwei Fällen erkennen wir dies:

Im ersten handelt es sich beim Todesopfer um einen POC, der gerade seinen Job verloren und wenige Tage vor seiner Hinrichtung wegen Freifahren Gewalt durch die Bundespolizei erfahren hatte;

Im zweiten Mordfall geht es um einen Wohnungslosen in Dortmund – einer Stadt in der zur Zeit massiv gegen Menschen, die auf der Straße leben, vorgegangen wird.

Was ist passiert?

Beim Vorfall am 30.3. starb die Person in einem Wohngebiet in Nienburg durch mehrere Polizeikugeln und am 3.4. erlag ein Weiterer einer Polizeikugel in der Dortmunder Innenstadt. In beiden Fällen ist die Darstellung der Geschehnisse durch die Polizei gegensätzlich zur Wahrnehmung von Zeug*innen und Videos (siehe z.B. https://nitter.poast.org/RefugeesinLibya/status/1774717070258671882). Das Verhalten der Ermordeten soll angeblich keine andere Handlungsoption gelassen haben, als diese zu töten. Dies lässt uns die bürgerliche Presse wissen, stets in Bezug auf die Propaganda der Polizei.

So ist die Darstellung frei erfunden, dass die Freundin des in Nienburg getöteten die Polizei um Hilfe gerufen habe, weil sie von ihm mit einem Messer bedroht worden sei und dass sie danach hätte vor ihm flüchten können. Auch die Zeugen des Vorfalls in Dortmund widersprechen der Version, dass es eine für die Polizist*innen bedrohlichen Situation gab, als es zu dem Todesschuss kam.

Als wir darauf aufmerksam geworden sind und uns gefragt haben, was passiert ist, ist uns aufgefallen, dass kaum jemand von den Vorfällen wusste und in der Presse die Informationen nur Bruchstückhaft und gefiltert erhältlich sind. Eigentlich sollten solche Vorfälle in der Gesellschaft Aufmerksamkeit erzeugen, weil sie die brutalste Auswirkung von staatlicher Gewalt sind. Die Todesschüsse sind die logische Konsequenz des Gewaltmonopols der Exekutive einer kapitalistischen Gesellschaft.

Eine Lösung des Problems kann nur die Abschaffung des kapitalistischen Systems sein. Gleichzeitig setzt dies eine Gesellschaft voraus, die Verantwortung nicht delegiert sondern sich mit den durch den Kapitalismus und diverse Unterdrückungsformen geschaffenen Problemen auseinandersetzt. Doch auch außerhalb des Kapitalismus müssen wir uns der Macht, der Unterdrückung, des Rassismus und des Patriarchats bewusst sein und diese bekämpfen. Eine andere Welt ist nur Möglich wenn sie auf kollektiver Verantwortung und gegenseitiger HIlfe beruht.

Wir müssen anfangen, der Polizei auf der Straße entgegenzutreten und deren Macht zurückdrängen, wir müssen ihr Informationsmonopol zerschlagen und wir müssen ihre Legitimation in den Köpfen zurückdrängen, auf dass die Wahl der 110 nicht mehr als Alternative zu selbstorganisiertem, selbstermächtigtem, solidarischem Handeln erscheint.

Keine Organisation darf eine derartige Macht innehaben wie sie die Polizei erhält. Lasst uns die Morde durch Polizei nicht als Normalität akzeptieren und uns nicht an die staatliche Todesmaschine gewöhnen!

On the occasion of the recent murders by police

Why this report and comment?

We have learned from the press that there have again been fatal shootings by police officers in Lower Saxony and North Rhine-Westphalia. Because there has so far only been reporting that strives for neutrality while accepting the police as a credible source, we consider it important to summarize in our counter-information media what has unfortunately only become known through commercial media. Something must be done to counter the police’s power to create the narrative, as the systematic nature of the murders is obvious to us. We also find it intolerable that people are repeatedly executed by the police and that we feel alone when we learn of such things and powerless when we want to react.

The open assembly of Preis ist heiss deals with capitalist exploitation and the resulting existential problems. It is obvious to us that precarious and psychological exceptional situations are often caused by capitalist conditions. Those who are humiliated, sanctioned and prevented from living a good life will at some point of course stand up against the authorities. These are the situations in which the state reacts with extreme brutality up to murder.

We also see this in the two cases described below:

In the first, the victim is a POC who had just lost his job and had experienced violence at the hands of the federal police a few days before his execution for free riding in the public transportation;

The second murder case involves a homeless man in Dortmund – a city where there is currently a massive crackdown on people living on the streets.

What happened?

In the incident on March 30, the person died from several police bullets in a residential area in Nienburg and on April 3, another person succumbed to a police bullet in Dortmund city center. In both cases, the police’s account of the events contradicts the perception of witnesses and videos (see e.g. https://nitter.poast.org/RefugeesinLibya/status/1774717070258671882). The behavior of the murdered people allegedly left the police with no other option but to kill them. This is what the bourgeois press tells us, always in reference to police propaganda.

But the version saying that the girlfriend of the man who was killed in Nienburg had called the police for help because he had threatened her with a knife and that she could have fled from him afterwards is purely fictitious. And the witnesses to the incident in Dortmund also contradict the version that there was a threatening situation for the police officers when the fatal shot was fired.

When we became aware of this and asked ourselves what had happened, we noticed that hardly anyone knew about the incidents and that the information available in the press was only fragmentary and filtered. Actually, such incidents should generate attention in society because they are the most brutal effects of state violence. The fatal shootings are the logical consequence of the executive’s monopoly on violence in a capitalist society.

A solution to the problem can only be the abolition of the capitalist system. At the same time, this requires a society that does not delegate responsibility but deals with the problems created by capitalism and various forms of oppression. But even outside of capitalism we must be aware of and fight against the power, opression, racism, patriarchy etc. Another world is possible only when it is based on collective accountability and mutual aid.

We must begin to confront the police on the streets and push back their power, we must smash their monopoly on information and we must push back their legitimacy in people’s minds so that the choice of the 110 no longer appears as an alternative to self-organized, self-empowered, solidary action.

No organization should have the kind of power that the police has. Let’s not accept police murders as a normality – let’s not get used to the death machine of the state.
