On censorship, prison and repression against anarchist publications and struggles in Munich

Since 2022, there has been a series of repressive blows against anarchists in Munich. The preliminary climax was the seven-month pre-trial detention of two comrades, N. and M., from the end of February to the end of September on charges of publishing the anarchist newspaper Zündlumpen with another person. The Munich Public Prosecutor’s Office has decided to prosecute and censor Zündlumpen and its alleged editorial staff as a criminal organisation. The crimes committed by the criminal organisation of the „Zündlumpen“-editorial staff are publishing and distributung calls for, instructions for and approval of criminal offences. The paragraph 129 proceedings against the three comrades are expected to begin in Munich in winter.
The input is dedicated to the excesses of repression in Bavaria and attempts to examine the repressive measures and how they might be dealt with in the context of the militarisation of society as a whole. Moreover the question of how to deal with growing censorship measures against subversive publications in the future will also be raised.
